Jakki, we used them there. Great fun and they have other fun things to try as well.

They should be banned --noisy/brash/dangerous, to be driven at high speed as close to the beach as possible to interupt the pleasure of all none jet ski fans

They have a good system now at Deniz Kizi beach. They built a pier which goes out quite a long way and their jet skis, boats, etc. are available to hire from the end of this pier. This avoids the need to have motorised water sports operating anywhere near the beach.

Hi Sheila

I'm not very good at directions, but I'll do my best and I'm sure others will do better Deniz Kizi beach is in Alsancak, alongside the Deniz Kizi and Deniz Kizi Royal Hotels. Coming from Girne (going west) go past Escape beach and keep going a bit further. You will see huge signs (not unusual, I know) for the Casino at the Deniz Kizi hotel (this is all sea side, of course). Opposite to the entrance is Kings Court hotel. There are a couple of small restaurants at the entrance to the road. This is, by the way, just after the St Tropez restaurant (trying to give a couple of landmarks). There is an entrance fee - used to be 10TL, but may have gone up. I think this gives you access to the swimming pool, too. The motorised water sports seem very well organised and I know they also do scuba diving instruction there as well.

I hope this helps. Please don't blame me if you get lost, but, as I said, I'm sure other will be able to give much clearer directions

Jean

Thanks Jean for the information. Do you happen to know if they have a price board or something of that nature there - only I don't want to ask the cost of hiring the jet ski and them thinking of a number then doubling it - if you know what I mean!!!

Hi jakki - now that, I don't know. The scuba centre is run separately to the jet skis, banana, etc. and I know the blokes who do the scuba instruction/dives are very good and I also think they have their prices advertised, but with regard to the rest, I don't ever remember seeing a 'price list' (surprise, surprise). They may have it advertised at the end of the pier?

I suppose it's a question of asking the price and hoping you don't get ripped off.

Good luck

Jean
