Here is our local web-cam in UK looking out from the Isle of Sheppey over the Thames Estuary, and we have had some great sunsets last two nights, tahnks to a certain Volcano.

Sorry you would have seen a glorious sunset tonight but it was so long loading this, missed it but look tomorrow as we have been promised sunshine at last, this is virtually the view we get from our bungalow, but will admit the sunsets in Cyprus are something else especially the one from the Address Restaurant in June.

Wow you look out the same direction as us!!! Just that we have a view of grain power station. I agree the sunsets are much better in MC.

Great pics almost made me feel homesick! I Lived on the Isle of Sheppey (in Minster by The Glen) before moving here 7 years ago.

As they say you can take the girl outta sheppey but you can't take sheppey outta the girl!!!

The great Isle of Sheppey, i grew up there before escaping although still have family living on the island, must say i prefer this island to that one.

Glad you all seemed to like the pics, it will remind you what a tide is, I do agree with MSG10 that I would sooner be on your Island than mine, although at the moment we do have a bridge to get off it, which is more than you say for the poor sods who want to either go to NC or come home, I know of one guy here on the Island who hoping to fly out to NC on Monday he is not very hopefull,

MSG 8 Hi Jane we now live on the Costa del Minster but finally bought a place in Alsancak and hopefully is this bloody volcano stops will be back out in June and September (to miss the bratt run).

Had my first "grown up" holiday with my mates at some holiday camp (maybe Warners) on the Isle of Sheppey in the early 60s. Have to say it was pretty dire. Hi De Hi was not far off the mark.
