Oh Arrrry,

Are my British friends still upset over 1776?

Sorry I forgot how sophisticated the British sense of humor is:

I don’t watch much TV, but I do know that the shows you are referring to were popular in the 90s. Most of the TCs that I have interacted with are absolutely delightful, witty, and fun to be with – but I am sure my response was PREDICTABLE – much like my humor (not humour).

Amusing – I do love you Brits – see you make me laugh!

No hard feelings.

It has rarely done anything for me either, although I did really enjoy MASH - it was all those one-liners that I liked.

"Shut up, Meg!"

Helloooo, let's stick to this century. While American TV sitcoms usually are quite dull, great laughs are to be had watching Family Guy, Arrested Development and Modern Family. Jon Stewart's political satire is great too. Okay sorry that is not what you asked.

Carry on then.

British humour is unbeatable. Even when you watch most tv series (also drama!) from many years ago for the third time they are still great. Too many good memories to repeat them here, but I was lucky to live in a country where the BBC could be received and viewed. American humor? I prefer their sports - there are very few humorous tv series I can remember (OK, one of the best: Cheers! But I really hated the mechanical laughter every 26 seconds). German humour? Yeah. TRNC humour? I hope to find out in this thread...

american humour used to be a little dull, but has come on leaps and bounds over recent years, some programmes seem to cater for the uk market.

watch two and a half men on e2 during the week, normally on just after 8pm.

and then tell me you don't find it funny.
