What has happened to everyone moaning and complaining about the most petty things on this site. Count your blessings and put something nice on for a change. Like thank god what a wonderful place we live in i do every day of my life.

Well said! After the wonderful treatment my mum's had at Lefoksa state hospital I'm really pleased we moved here. She was having a fabulous time here, enjoying the fantastic scenery when she had a mishap. We were so worried but all the staff we encountered at Girne, in the ambulance and at Lefkosa have been a blessing and make you realise just how WRONG the NHS get it! All this and a beautiful sunset to watch almost every evening, some truly lovely local friends and a great lifestyle - we love it here

IMHO - the reason for the bitching is that the average Brit has been lead up the garden path and the TRNC isn't the dream they expected - house prices in free fall, so little chance of re-couping their original investment...

You guys are funny. You are bitching about bitching! For what it's worth, from an outsider looking in, I really don't see it as a lot of bitching. Occasionally somebody gets a bit rude but for the most part, the posters' personalities are consistent. I don't know why but I obviously have a "crush" on DutchCrusader, Negative Nick intrigues me like in some sot of super hero way: Who is this guy? And Simbas reminds me of that all loving Disney mother bear type! I think lots of times, the bitching you are referring to is just in good fun. It appears that in time of need and crises all of you come together and find a solution. It's a nice community. Now let me go explain to my husband what exactly I meant by "crush"...
