Right, who knows the cost of electric (not builders) with the following scenario:

I want to power 8 x 1Kw floodlights for on average 3 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Does anyone know what this would work out at per hour for the 8 of them??

Thanks In Advance

(I no electric and water are expensive commodities in TRNC, any help would be appreciated)

What are you doing? - Illuminate St Hilarion? - Or trying to work out how much it costs?

You would use 8,760 units (KWH) a year, averaging 730 per month, so for simplicity, ignoring the irregular number of days per month...

The cost really depends on what 'Charging Band' your useage starts in - if you have NO other electricity useage, you would start off at the lowest rate - 30Kr/kwh for the first 250kwh, 35kr for the next 250kwh, 38 for the next 250, and (I think) 45Kr/kwh for the remainder. Add the monthly service charge and VAT (sorry, I can't be bothered ) and there you are!

If you're still in the dark, try using a generator - MUCH more expensive!

Do you mind telling us what you are thinking of? - seeing as how we have taken the time to answer your question?
