Picked this up from the Grimsby Town forum and is the feelings of one devastated supporter on seeing his team relegated from the football league.

WARNING: before you open this link please be aware that it does contain a LOT of bad language and it might be better just to leave it if easily offended but if you can see through that then it is absolutely priceless and probably sums up the feelings of many football supporters at this crunch time of year.

After following The Mariners for best part of 15 years I can sort of sympathize with him, will be a sad day to see them relegated out the football leauge, still the first result I look for.

Bill...I think he is just a little bit down about it.

Having watched my own team Dundee blow a 16 point lead at the top of the Scottish first division and lose out on promotion I have a lot of sympathy for this guy!!!

Hi Lilli

Your absolutely right....but many people live and breath football and to this guy the loss of his team from the football league is like a family bereavement and you can clearly see his sense of loss....Never mind come Monday he will be just fine!!!

Bill, you aren't from Grimsby... they've only got footie to look forward to of a weekend...

He probably spent more time with Grimsby Town players than he did with his family!

Yes, it is only a game but I can't help but admire the guy for his passion and his sense of humour. Laughed out loud whilst reading it

Bill deep sea fishing on a trawler is a very drastic way to get away from the family.... plus no booze!

Deep sea fishing ended in GY back in the early 80's just as I started going to sea, we only have a handful of inshore & North sea boats now as the majority of fish now comes in containers from Iceland & Norway.
