Thanks Simbas, I `m doing this for a friend who is out next week they only want a couple of pillows and single duvets, I bought a load of stuff back from the U.K. recently but pillows/duvets take up too much room and I had to save space for all the clothes I bought! Lesleyb

We bought all our pillows etc out from uk in the bags you suck the air out of and as they go hard they make good packing for some of the more delicate bits we bought out as well. Just to give you an idea you would get 12 decent pillows into a suitcase (not that I did but just to give you an idea)

The ladies in the shop on the left just past Hur Deniz going towards the Bellapais lights have good quality stuff and are very helpful.

Lesley

The Turkish duvets are a different size to the UK duvets, therefore bedding from the UK does not fit. Get the sizes of your UK bedding and ask your chosen supplier to alter the duvets for you, one of our friends had IPEK do this for them last month. Perhaps one of the local suppliers would make up in UK sizes, there is a market for it with so many bringing their own bedding from the UK.

The single sizes are the same to fit english and Turkish beds , the turkish double bed needs kingsize sheets and duvets if bought in the UK .

Try the Curtain shop's outlet - a few yards past the shop coming from Lapta, turn left and it's there - good selection of bedding, remnants, cushions etc at cut prices!

I would try and bring everything like that from the uk, much, much cheaper and the choice here is not very good.

mermaid fabrics and the curtain shop both have duvets to English standard sizes. i bought my king size from the curtain shop and found it fits perfectly to my covers from the uk and it is of an excellent quality. also the price was far more reasonable than i expected. 10 out of 10

The curtain shop is very reasonable, we bought our curtains and blinds for our apartment plus towels and pillows and the service is excellent . Tony.

Hi Stewart , come all the way down the dual carriageway , when you come to the big Lefkosa roundabout , go straight over the round about { you should have the used car showrooms on your left } go striaght down that road , you should be able to find it from there . { i'm really bad at directions }

Good luck , Simbas
