cyprusishome, He hasn't actually plead guilty to robbing lots of people over here yet has he???? He will go for an insanity, or ill-health plea same as his mum and, if that doesn't work he will look for early release on compassionate grounds as his mum is ill!!! Chris p.s. He certainly won't be at Guido's tonight enjoying a meal.

off thread really.not about this case. If my mother was charged with looking after me while in another country and put on a wanted interpol list and eventually repatreated ,and sent to jail and then eventually released on bail and was of a very old age, i suppose i would be tempted to take any deal that was put to me as long as my mother was released or all trumped up charges where dropped againts my mother. This reply to this thread is not my thoughts about mavis robb, its my thoughts if i was in a similar situation and my mother was caught up in my problems and used as bait against me . This is just my early morning opinion if this was to happen to myself .What i do in my life has nothing to do with my mother, albeit , what the thread is about is very interesting and also very sad. if i am 40 years old, should my mother be held accountable for my actions? im asking in general terms now. Please only serious answers,i dont want to go off thread,we are aware of all.

If your mum did act as a mule for for ill-gotten gains and help you to ferry the money away from the UK then she's guilty of a crime too... aiding and abetting. If she knew you were a drug dealing bastard then she was also guilty of perverting the course of justice too... If she knew you were wanted in court and were skipping bail to evade the law and she was acting to help you achieve this.... then she was guilty of this as well. Sorry Zero but my sympathies lie elsewhere.. with the families whose lives this man and his family's activities have ruined in one way or another. I do not believe a mother with two sons involved in all sorts of criminal activities does not know that her son doing a runner is illegal and a bad thing. She could have stopped it and didn't. I'm sure she's lovely old lady but she's guilty as hell.... Guilty, guilty, guilty my lud! If she did not know what her son's were like....she would be guilty of being the stupidest mum in Tyne and Wear!

don't know why I put an apostrophe in the plural sons... Anyway Zero don't confuse Gary Robb's mum with your mum. Mavis Robb raised a couple of wrong'uns and she knows it... probably taught how to do their first trade too....

It looks as if Robb will get around 5 years for allowing the use of the club for drugs, if previous convictions for that type of offence are anything to go on. With good behaviour and taking into account the time spent in remand, he'll probably be out in time for the London Olympics. http://www.northcyprusfreepress.com/2010/04/23/gary-robb-pleads-guilty/

Hilltop, The Robb family are actually born and brought up on Tyneside, their offences were commited on Teesside. Know the club really well, in the sixties and seventies it was a brilliant cabaret spot.
