Thanks Navek, it looks like being a lively summer for the mozzies. They are out in force early.

I'm lucky, they don't like me.

Hi All

The cliker is brilliant, I have been using them for several years, they really do work.

We fly out on Monday and I'm armed with two.

Anyone been to Cuba and been bitten by a mozzie there?

They are evil. My girlfriend at the time was bitten on her eyelid and couldn't see for over a week.

That was the end of that good holiday.

The hotter the climate, the more virulent the 'mossie' bite - even in Cyprus you can notice this. A 'mossie's' bite in Spring and Autumn is much less severe than in High Summer.

Don't forget to spray all over and underneath those patio tables and chairs with a 'Permithrin' (preferably 'Cypermethrin') based spray (wettable powder, or pre-prepared water soluble insecticide).

This can also be applied to surrounding walls, blinds, curtains floor mats, etc - anywhere where the little so & so's are liable to land and hide prior to pouncing on you!

If using an electric (blue bulb) 'zapper', site it away from where you are sitting, cos it'll attract everything, from night bees and wasps, moths, cockroaches, and every kind of 'nastie & bitey'!

I've said before, best thing I've ever used is Mosquit-ex which I pick up in the airport. Cream to rub on - don't wear nail varnish or lick your fingers tho! It's not cheap but is very effective for hours and well worth it if, like me, you're often seen as 'lunch' for the little blighters. The only way mozzies get me now is if there's an area I forget like the backs of my fingers or my neck!
