Verbally attacked and threatened at the Cyprus Queen Party

Sadly as I left the Cyprus Queen having had a good night I was attacked verbally by Martin (Big Mart) who used foul language and threatened me.



Apparently I had supposedly said something on this forum which he disagreed with so he felt it necessary to come to my car and verabally abuse and threaten me



IS THIS WHAT THIS FORUM IS ABOUT - WELL I FOR ONE WILL NOT BE POSTING ON IT AGAIN



But I will be calling the police!!!!!!!

I was in my car ready to drive away after a good night at the party. He came to my car and banged on the window and started shouting at me and using foul language (which I asked him not to use as I won't use it) he continued and threatened me because of something I said on the forum - NOT ny words something which I had been told and I stated that I had been told. But he would not accept that he has threatened me. I pointed out that what I SAID was what I had been TOLD but he would not accept it. I am a pensioner and a lot smaller than he is.

You are certainly 'not backward in coming forward' - that's exactly how it should be on a forum.



Reading your revealing posts has very likely saved more people than you can ever know a whole heap of hassle and heartbreak - not to mention money that they can ill afford to lose.



It would be a significant loss to this forum if you were to quit - but, of course, that is entirely your choice.

No matter what was said on this forum that is no excuse for bullying, we are all entitled to free speech, in fact the only thing we cannot question is the legality of TRNC.

Katymackem, please do go to the police, and also speak to Hakki, he would be so upset to hear of this, I sincerely hope that you're ok and are not too upset, it's a poor example of a man who would stoop this low.

I agree with Rottolover, although Big Mart might have been in the wrong here and KM might well be justified in her complaint why are you all jumping on the band wagon and attacking, I wasn't there so I don't know the facts and without both parties being able to make there statement it is a bit unfair.

It is possible that Martin feels terrible for what he might have done and will apoplogise without getting attacked by the forums league of justice.

I have had many occasions where alcohol is involved and apologies are required afterward in both directions as I am fairly certain everyone else has.

If as hilltop has mentioned KM feels so agrieved about the situation that she would post it on the forum she should maybe contact the police before rather than after as stated in mess 1.

The only thing I do know is that my wife and daughter left the party at roughly the same time assuming that KM posted as soon as she got home and they mentioned nothing about it but they might have missed it

Not particularly interested in what she believes she was accused of. My concern is about someone coming onto a public internet site and making accusations that should have been for the Police. And what did site admin do about it, nothing!



Decency and fairness dictates that this was deleted and left to the proper authorities, but on this site? I don't think so.

I think he knew who I was because there was one person in that bar who knew and he was drinking in their company. I did not know anyone else in bar and they don't know me - except this one person. We have only been drinking in their during the daytime as we live quite some distance away. But last night stayed sober for the party and we had a later night out for the party.I have been drinking in the cyprus queen since it opened last year.

I would not like to be responsible for getting him into trouble with the police/authorities and maybe causing a problem with his residency etc.

My advocate told me last week that the one thing the TRNC authorities will not stand for is bruitish behaviour/violence.

I also wonder at the motives of the person (only one there who knew who I am) who set me up

KM should really not have posted the accusation IMO but by the time the mods got to it there was already a list of comments.

I only ask because that was the sort of comments I always heard from mine when I suggested what I thought was something of worth. It normally wasn't to be honest but I was a student so I was allowed to be ignorant, then.

You do seem to come across as having either a very high opinion of yourself or a very low opinion of 90% of this forum (Stated by you on another thread).

I am not even attempting to deny that you have such an intellectual abvility but might I suggest that you find a way to make us mere mortals feel less stupid. Is it not bad enough that we embarass ourselves by sharing the forum with you without you having to rub our noses in our own ignorance.

But after reading all the posts to date, I now find myself being a little turned off by Mr Hilltop. I have yet to read anything positive or well-meaning from him...most of his comments appear to suggest an unhealthy attraction to his ego, and a wish only to display his erudition.



I doubt there'll be any closure unless we hear from Big Mart.

May I suggest that the internet is perhaps not the best organ for this particular discussion? There are two individuals involved here, both who will be completely unknown to the thousands of people who view this site (Including those on the dark side ). Having spent 30 years teaching and training adults, including excluded pupils, disabled and the disadvantaged ie ex cons, educationally subnormal etc I have a fairly high level of tollerance in difficult situations. But when an extremely large man bangs on your car window, shouting and using foul language and threatening me within an inch of my face and refusing to listen what am I supposed to do.
