I have uploaded some web pages where you can find the 30+ maps of TRNC reservoirs (when they are all ready of course). I'm interested to know if the navigation to these pages is easy enough - I appreciate it if some fishermen, walkers or bird watchers will test the new pages and let me know their experiences here. Thank you for your cooperation.

The navigation to the reservoirs is simple enough. Download a free map of all TRNC reservoirs. The Zip file downloaded without any problem, but I now need a password to unzip the file.

RE msg 2: Thank you for the feedback, juliamoons. I'll now upload Reservoir-map nr. 3 (Arapköy) and make the necessary links - you'll have your password for map 3 (as requested) via email shortly.

=> Make your own password free maps then! (Or pay me - unbelievable that you want to tell me how to run MY maps on MY server..! You'll never get the password for any map, my friend!).

I went to the Arapkoy reservoir, easy enough to find thanks to the map. Here is a bit of video of the reservoir.

RE msg 9, juliamoons: Well done! I'll put the link to this video on my Arapköy web page so it will be easy to find it again for interested people. By the way: I wish there was more feedback from fishermen - until now there is none :-( about species, bait, hot spots etc.

Thanks again, Julia! I wish some readers where half as active as you are... I've uploaded the provided links to their related web pages. I'll try to map the second Arapköy reservoir today or tomorrow morning. Have a nice walk there!

Morning DutchCrusader

I appreciate the work your doing providing history and maps for everyone who shows an interest.

I would love to interact and provide you some info but I'm in England and I've never been able to get over when lectures are on.

Can't wait to get out there and explore / use one of your maps.

If ever your our way we'll have drinks ready.

Many thanks.

To all interested in the (free) "TRNC reservoir maps": there is a rather long list now of people who want one, several or in the end all reservoir maps. I have to admit now that I made an error in the set-up of the system. Instead of giving every map its own password I should have chosen just one password for the main map with all reservoirs and the more detailed maps. I plan to change this in the next days and will inform applicants here and/or via email.

Hi Hans

I now have some video of the smaller resevoir in Arapkoy. It looks like a great place for fishing, plenty of fishermen there when we went.

RE msg 16, juliamoons: I'm not banned, but I've chosen a voluntary exile from this board. However I feel obliged to reply to your post. I'm fed up with the shameless vulgarities, blatant lies and unfounded accusations by a stalking band of ignorant people in too many threads. It's a pity and I thank you for your kind cooperation re: reservoirs - I've done my best to be helpful, but it's been enough. I certainly can use my time in a much better way, without being attacked and insulted for free services.

I would have preferred to email you, but I don't have your email address. Kind regards, Hans Doeleman.

Hans if you see this and I hope you do. I am really sad to hear this. I have watched so many on here abuse others like yourself and I also feel sick to the stomach about it. I hope the abusers are taken out of the system completely and a friendlier forum with interesting information can be achieved in the future.

regards, Julia.

Hans, if you can't stand the replies, lay off the attacks. Juliamoons, look on both our profiles, I have only retaliated against Hans's attacks on me, usually when he knows I am in UK. He gas so much to offer this forum but tends to try to bully his way through life. Look at his unwarranted attack on Hattikins (not my favourite member, by a distance) The animation was really great, how he wasn't banned for it is another matter.

Why should a man (loosely speaking) stoop so low as this. He definitely has a problem. mentally.

I hope there is no "kneejerk" reaction to this post. Before anyone tries to jump on my back, look at the postings. I have no axe to grind with Hans, despite what he thinks, he is a valuable member of this forum but he needs to realise that other members have feelings too, and he must respect them. Don't worrry about his non posting, like Arnie, "he will be back" eventually ,and I will welcome him, he is needed on this forum, unfortunately

Don't get me involved in your rows. The way I interact with people seems to be far different to yours. So I looked at your postings and in my opinion with the language that was used - you should have been banned for life.

Funny that Richard, but so true. people look at words differently, what offends one might be acceptable to another. As a coal miner, working in tight spaces, anything that wouldn't go where you wanted it, due to shape was said to be "askunt". Most likely a bastard version of askant and askew. Anyone learning Turkish will know that if it doesn't sound right, change it: ie dir to tir, da to ta, in to nin, K to g etc. The same thing happened with askunt, the "s" was dropped. Ergo, it is not as obscene to me as to others, but i do know the Welsh don't like to hear it.

If I caused offence to any sensitivies then I apologise, but would advise against going to see a blue comedian.
