please log on to http://www.gnn.gov.uk



as of the 14/06/2007 to or from a non EU contry if you have 10k in euro or more you have to declare it

in any currency the following apply at present for cash per traveller



10,000 Euro's in or out of the UK and most EU countries

10,000 USD out of the TRNC



You can of course transfer more by your bank much of the restriction is to prevent money laundering (drugs money) and some to restrict draining countries of too much money which might be taxable.
