Turkey, with its huge reserves of US$'s should bail out Greece in return for the Islands it wants back and full recognition of TRNC as a separate state!

perhaps Turkey could bail out Greece and take the whole of Cyprus as an installment! lol

EU is really goona listen to what greece wants now !

Given a choice between Greece or Turkey..wonder which the EU would prefer to have as a "partner" at this moment in time?

Greece is seeking a loan of 130 billion Euros over three years! Must be worth a few Islands or so! They lied about their fiscal accounts entering the Euro and now want the rest of the World (IMF) and Germany to bail them out! Beware of Greeks bearing gifts?!

The Greek central bank is rumoured to be sitting on a large pile of new currency in case the Germans throw them out the Euro.

Spain has just been 'down graded' on its credit rating, no chance of another Spanish Armada!

the greek crisis is manageable: either by bail-out, a straight default,

or most likely a "haircut",

where the lenders agree to accept later repayments and a smaller overall sum

let's hope the contagion can be held

I will not make any cheap remarks since many of the southern countries

have mopped up far too much easy credit than was good for them

what it does say about greek governments is they are less than frank

and the claim to want turkey in the eu as a buffer rather than abandoning cyprus,

must be viewed in this context

Four German professors are planning legal action against the German government for breaching the ‘No Bailout’ clause in the European Monetary Union rules. While the chances of meaningful success (blocking Germany’s emergency loan) are low, in the unlikely event of success, this could be a real game changer.

Riots break out in Athens outside the Ministry of Finance. A defunct State with no future!
