So I go to ASDA tonight and my usual 3 bottles of red for £10 has gone to £12

Its time to quit

The Draught Bass was £3.10 for 2 litres so a little mitigation

Inflation is in the eye of the sufferer/victim not government statistics

You are wrong, if you looked at the individual bottle price it's somewhere between £6 to £7 a unit, the discount was for bulk buying, still good value as the selection of wines are excellent. I left Laithwaites wine merchants as they did have a huge price hike last year!

Had you been camping out on the premises?

I believe Laithwaites is a postal service. It saves Richerd the bus fare down to the offie- and apart from that he doesn't have to get out of bed to order it.

With Wine I find that the supermarkets put prices up and down on a regular basis. I went into Sainsburys today and purchased 10 bottles and got 25% off. One of the wines I looked at was £7.99. A couple of weeks ago it was on offer at £6.00so no deal there. Often you see a wine at a ridiculous price of £10 that was on offer at £5.00 so called half price. So move around the supermarkets buying wine. Have a few wines that you know you like and buy when the deals are on.
