Macs - why many folks are still wary

We have ipods and the like in the house, but I nee a phone/ computer that will run Adobe Flash.... used in so many applications...



I'm not 'anti-Mac' - I'm just worried that they seem to be trying to dictate the why Microsoft did ...

Isn't that up to Adobe to co-operate with Mac for their mutual benefit - wonder why they haven't?

Adobe is far worse than Mac related to protecting software. The company bought competing, good software companies only to finish the development of that software and replace it with its own software, which not always was better or easier. A fine example is Macromedia's FreeHand, which Adobe finished - forcing thousands of users to buy and learn (expensive) Adobe Illustrator. The latter can often not do as easy and good what FreeHand does - but Adobe doesn't give a d*mn.

The future is html5 , as opposed to flash.



You will see youtube start to use it soon.

Everything is moving to open-source or open frameworks, Apple can sell other stuff, whereas Adobe are stuck with their software and not much else..



Flash does run on Macs, its just the ipods, iphones and ipad that dont support it..
