Hi Patricia, In theory you are only allowed one item of hand luggage on most aircraft - I normally take a back pack and put my computer in it (being a bloke I don't tend to carry hand bags). I have seen many women do the same putting a small handbag in the back pack for check in so you could do it with your computer as well. Don't forget that hand baggage is supposed to be restricted in size and weight some airline say 5 others 8 Kg. I think currently Pegasus is 8Kg Tom http://www.flightholiday.co.uk

Hi Tricia, Pegasus will only allow ONE BAG ONLY. You cannot take one hand luggage and a handbag, Pegasus class thIS as two bags. They weigh all the luggage and will charge if you are over by the slightest amount. (just place your hand bag into your hand luggage while you check in then pull it out after, I don't think they will bother you after you have had your luggage weighed, they didn't with us over the Easter Hols. But make sure if you do this that your handbag doesn't put your luggage over weight.) A laptop is allowed with no extra charge. Hopes this explains how Pegasus work, they are only restricting the amount of overhead luggage, the overhead lockers can become full with small bags. (not such a bad thing.) Weigh everything and make sure your luggage is just under weight, if you are just over, then they will charge you.

I'm travelling with them in June and have just checked their website which seems to suggest that you are allowed a handbag, laptop, umbrella, duty free, etc without extra charge in addition to 1 bag weighing no more than 8 kg as hand luggage. Unless I'm reading it wrong. Suggest that you print it off and take it with you in case of problems. See http://www.flypgs.com/en/information/general-rules.aspx under Baggage and Moveable Materials, Hand Baggage.

I can only say what happened to us last trip. Duty free is not taken into consideration. (free) Laptop is allowed and is not weighed. (classed as a seperate item no extra charge.) You can have only ONE piece of hand luggage, up to the weight and size allowed without charge. (My wife had to place her handbag into her hand luggage.) Our two cases for the hold, one was 1lb over the other 2lbs over, hand to pay excess on both cases.

Tricia, It seems Pegasus move the goal posts! Just be aware of what people are saying. They seem to be watching you on your outbound journey, their not too bothered on your return home.

I always travel with Pegasus and I have always had my handbag, a pull along cabin bag and my laptop. I have never been charged extra. The only time I paid excess was when my hold baggage was over
