when ever in lapta none of the super markets or shops sell them they must be somewhere or are they just not available because people make their own

Most shops who sell cakes here seem to cater for an extremely sweet tooth. I think a lot of people make their own simply to get the flavour they want whilst holding onto their gnashers for a bit longer!



However there are some specialist outlets like the Black Olive Cafe, up near Sunny Lane School Alsancak who folk rave about.

basheer the cakes sold in the shops here look very nice but all taste the same very dull best i have had is from lambousa market on saturdays stall on top patio has the corner spot there lovely victoria sponge also had the rock cakes each week i try diff ones so far all been great if that helps you best regards

Atakara sell yummy sponge and cream cakes too, and are a reasonable price

that's the one victoria sponge now there's a reason to live in lapta especially at tea time cheers ,I will make my way to the recommended spots, buy one from each of them and taste the difference yum yum to you all
