if the two sides still agree to disagree and the talat/tof round "lapses" there'll be losers

principal among these will be foreign householders for whom there'll be no compromise

which could have upped the value of their modest homes by perhaps seventy percent

business people in the north also lose out due to the complexities of intra-island trade

neither greek-cypriot nor turkish-cypriot claimants will receive any compensation en masse

lastly there can be no more scare stories planted by the motley enemies of north cyprus,

either the respectable "in kyrenia by christmas" nor the creepier "lose your shirt" variety

no, the turkish republic of northern cyprus will have to plan for partition made permanent:

as if er... it isn't already

Exactly so long live the TRNC !! The reason why most of the trnc public voted for Eroglu is because they have given up all hope on any form of reunification or recognition, which is unfortunately the blantant truth, it will never happen...

we...ll

each side wants and needs a settlement, just totally contradictory ones that's all

as I suggested at the top, I can't see there is anything much to talk about though

some bright spark will now tell us the date of the next meeting, under un auspices

...so that's all right then

It's only a benefit for your property to go up in value if you intend to sell. If you just want a quiet life and the island to remain as unspoilt as is possible then let the inevitable take it's course.

I must apologise for my previous post - there should be no apostrophe in the second "it's"

I hope I can be forgiven
