Hi,Is there anyone who is knows if photographs can be taken off a cd and if so will the resolution be good enough to send via internet.

Also will scannig the actual photo be a good enough resolution.

What i want to do is send some photos by internet of my daughter to a company that make photo albums for special occasions. It will be her eighteen soon. Later photos of her are not a problem as they are on my computer.

Is there a company here that can do this for me?

Your help will be much appreciated.

siggyyyy,

If you have a CD reader on your computer ie CD-rom drive, DVD drive or even Blue ray drive you should be able to open it copy the photo to your hard drive and then attach them to any e-mail address. Depending on your mail server you should be able to get the best possible quality attached to the mail, if you are using outlook and it asks if you want to send the photo as an e-mail photo by making the file smaller say NO as this will reduce the quality that reciever gets.

I think scanning would reduce the quality too much and would allow for lighting errors if the scanner is not super high quality.

Try this link for getting the photos from the CD if you are not sure http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259252

I hope this helps,

Paul

chers for that Paul.

They are not pictures on the cd but it is a video. I thought there might be a way of freezing a frame and copying it somehow.

Some pics are in my albumn so dont have much choice but to scan them. Do you think magic touch will be able to scan good quality?

Any further ideas would be welcome.

Thanks

Shelagh,

Try downloading this software, I have not tried it personally but the write up saya you can capture anything on the screen.

It is not a big file so it should not take long and there is no harm in trying it.

Hope it does the job for you,
