Nightlife around Edremit

My son and three of his friends from university are planning a week in our Edremit apartment. We've not actually visited much since it's completion and as a result don't really know the area. I have warned my son that N.Cyprus isn't going to be like resorts in Greece and that the nightlife may be somewhat low key. Can anyone recommend good bars and restaurants where they'll be looked after?

ricnatmeg, i play live rock guitar music at the Sunset Marine Lapta on Saturdays not far from edremit as we have some other people who come regularly. But you are right not a lot around the area unless they travel to Girne where there are a few night club type bars. Sunset also give free kebabs and cheap beer ideal for students on holiday regards Barry (snakes)

Best place for them will either be places like Escape Beach Club and the bars that overlook it like ICE. Or Club Night Park in the town where there are also many bars - just over here it's mainly the weekends that get busy for the university age crowed... very quiet in the week!

Thanks for the advice, the lads will be on student budget so I think yours and Snakes recommendations will be great
