Debenhams in Ledra Street stock all colours and types of sewing thread, needles, the 'job lot' - can't say we've seen it in TRNC - only rotten cotton!

There is a small shop called Turer in the Girne High Street. With the Belediyesi behind you walk down the High St, go over the cross Road straight on having passed the jewellery shops and on the left hand side shortly after Dano bakery you will find Turer's. They also sell wool and ladies' and gents' underwear.

There is a small shop that has threads, zips etc in Girne itself, I will now try and give you directions!

If you were walking down the hill from the Belediye offices you will come to a crossroads and on the left hand corner you should have Resat Jewellery, turn left here and you will see 1001 shop up ahead of you on the right.

After you have turned left, walk a few metres then just before the next left turning you will see a pedestrian area, if you walk up there the shop is on the left. As a guide, it is almost behind the 'Brabantia' shop.
