If its like English Academies, you cant just join, you have to be scouted, then have a trial then be accepted. Or know somebody! However, I too would like to know any info as it would be great to go at watch even if the kids cant join in. And if they can, what a bonus!

A couple of years ago I sent my lads down to train with Lapta United whilst on our Easter break

Very welcoming

Lads loved it

Yes there is a Fenerbahce Academy, and they have different age groups training at the weekends in Lefcosia.

The new intake, if any, will be in September. They do assess the boys and and put in appropriate teams.

There is also an annual fee and kit to purchase.

The coaches are all Turkish speaking - NO English!

Can I ask how old your child/children are and if you are here or coming here to live or just holiday etc... as there is an English club/coach for Juniors.

Thanx for all the info.

Thedons - do you have a telephone number for the academy please? The kids are 12 and 10 years.

What English club?

Tangerine man - did you just turn up at lapta and ask or make arrangements before hand?

Mishmash we just turned up and asked if they could join in - recall it was 10 30 or thereabouts on a Sat morning

It was a little basic however as I said the lads enjoyed it

Coaches were very strict with the local boys - no three strikes and you are out Any sign of messing and you sat out the rest of the session

Tange,

Maybe you should adopt the same tactics at Poulton Coaching 20 plus kids after a night in the Thatched House you deserve a medal, ask Ben he is still receiving counselling after his last training session.
