Putting this on for a friend - Hi I have a gibson cl40 artist acoustic with factory fitted transducer. Ive owned it from new and only illness makes me consider parting. It is the forerunner to the 'songwriter' model available today at huge cost! It has a Spruce top and rosewood sides (solid wood) It is a 'canon' of a guitar. Thanks for your interest. However, the gibson is most certainly not a starter's guitar and I would advise paying for a cheaper model to make sure your daughter will take to the instrument first before forking out a lot of money. To give an idea of the replacement cost of a guitar of this quality, you would be paying close to £1500!!!! But it is that good!

Thanks your right, as you've probably realised I know nothing about Guitars, but I do know I can't pay £1500, if any one has a good guitar suitable for a beginner and not expensive please give me a call.

Hi, Im a serious guitar player who works on and off in Cyprus with the UN, Im very keen to obtain a Gibson acoustic and know this guitar. Is it possible to come and take a look at it next week sometime? perhaps Mon or tuesday (24/25th May) if it's still for sale?
