It won't be easy for Hamilton, Button and the rest. The Red Bull's are nearly one second per lap quicker.

Re : Msgs 12 &13,

Arry, don't be so beastly to Rigsby. One can have dreams. Perhaps all cars in front WILL hit each other as the possibility of rain is not ruled out. Alonso had said they had no chance against Red Bull. Plus how do they think he is going to control this F-duct, with a tail? Vettel is moaning that the race is too long and is petrified by rain.

So, Rigsby, put 5 YTL on God, he might still emerge on the podium! (BTW he said that his car was not perfect and Rosberg is furious as both cars were modified to Schumi's liking.)

P.S. Alonso is lucky to escape without a penalty.

OK...there is another race tomorrow from Monza. Now how can I say this....there will be overtaking...lots of spills....you can actually see the competitors 'cos they are not cocooned in a carbon fibre shell...

It's World superbikes - seven brits fighting for the win....and tons and tons more exciting than F1???

Blackbird, Why don't you start a thread about it then? Why do you need to hijack this thread if it's so damned fascinating? ;¬) only joking... motorbikes are fun too!

The Porche Series is on first this AM at Catalunya. That's always a good spectacle too...

IF it stays dry and Alonso can pass Lewis - we might say the (supposedly) legendary Ferrari' 'kind on tyres' catch up the Red Bulls -as they 'destroy' theirs..

I STILL want it to rain ...

Blackbird DOES have a point.. for me Touring cars -back in the nineties was tops - loads of action ..

Why is it we Brits can't cheer on our own drivers? Is there some cachet to be earned from supporting a competing country's driver?

I'm amazed how many Brits don't support Lewis and Jenson...

Re : Msg 17,

Rigsby,

you have definitely had a very good value for 5 YTL! They all started falling out at the end. And God

ALMOST made it to the podium! Was also nice to watch his battle with JB.

And Alonso - second!!!

Hamilton deserved what should have been 2nd on the podium and what an audacious overtaking manoeuvre just after leaving the pit lane. Reminiscent of Schuey at his best.

Today Rigsby is having a rest from F1.arrry god almost made it to the podium,he put some manners on one Mcpooh driver.Apart from Lewises puncture i never saw much action. We needed rain! Webber was having tea before the rest parked up.Thanks clarissa, i did have another bet with my son,he is now £3 up.Only a week to another street race.

It was interesting to hear that the Red Bull cars' brakes were on the way out... Vettel certainly looked dodgy for the last three laps.

Hamilton's puncture was a shame as he was just starting to apply pressure in the hope of forcing errors from Red Bull.

"What's with McLaren and the wheelnuts !?"

Mark,

Was it McLaren? I'm pretty sure it was not...

Hi Groucho,

"Was it McLaren? I'm pretty sure it was not... "

It was Jaime Alguersuari's Toro Rosso that had a front left wheel nut problem.

Have to say that I fell asleep during the 'procession' and only woke up just before Hamiltons puncture. It just aint the same without a drop of rain !!!

Dear Navek and Groucho

both Mclaren drivers pit stops were slow because the wheel nuts were lost and a new one had to be found - they have replacement ones in 2nd air guns ..

THAT is how 'God' got in front of JB... :(

DUH.. wrong info.. I was going by what the Beeb said live..

>>Whitmarsh confirmed that Button's delay in the pits had been caused by a dashboard failure which prompted his clutch to drag and his wheels to spin.

"For Jenson, it was a great drive, but he was probably hampered early on by a display failure which was no fault of the driver or the team. [6xm's then whose fault WAS it ?!]

"Then he got stuck behind Michael and that probably dictated his race. It's disappointing for both drivers today and the whole team."<<

I heard on Sunday on BBC F1 that for qualifying in Monaco they have come to a decision to split the initial 20-minute session.

Now I hear the opposite, with Hamilton saying rightly that it could be a disaster.

So are they splitting or not?
