Doesn't this thread fall foul of rule 8? I would have thought that if it doesn't, rule is a waste of a rule... As it happens, I've always thought that rule 8 was a waste of a rule, and therefore ought to be rescinded.

Loss of a quick thinking ability otherwise known as MCI (mild cognitive impairment) . It is a common phenomenon which affects the 60+ age group. It is not the same as dementia. It's just an age thing.
