Go online and find the Town/Borough of your birth, council site. They will have a registrars section. I applied on line and had a duplicate in 3 days.

Go to the local Muhtar in the munincipality you were born in with a copy of your birth acknowledgement from the mid wife/stoke hospital, he/she will give you a certificate acknowledging your birth, take this certificate to the Kaymakli/registrar in your birth munincipality and they will issue you with a fatura which is also a birth certificate. costs about 100YTL for a piece of scrappy paper with your name on it!

depend of your age, if you haven't done your army you can come over but you cannot stay more than 3 months in the year ! many TC had this problem when they left cyprus to study and live abroad -

come on, what are you up to - you seem to be desesparate by asking how you can get a birth certificate, you got the answer - then you said you cannot go because of the army problem - we tell you what to do by sending someone, coming over for a short while or sending a relative !!!! if you want to come and retire in cyprus there is not many ways - as you know - either you do your army, either you dont and pay for it !!! what ever we think about it, thats the fact so !!! if your wish to retire here in cyprus is that strong, don't bother and ask yourself to who the money goes !!! sorry i can't give you any miracle solution
