Does anyone know what kind of documents you need when grandparents bring their minor grandchildren on holiday in TRNC? In what language should the documents be prepared for the customs of the airports of Istanbul and Ercan? Is it necessary to have these documents translated in turkish and provided with a visa from the Turkish Embassy in their home country?

Hi Ricky

my Granddaughter who is 10 came out with a friend of ours earlier in the year, no additional paper work was needed other than airline ticket and passport.

Hope this helps

Teresa, that is usually only the case when the parents are divorced and the court states that permission is needed from the absent parent before the other parent can take the child out of the jurisdiction of the courts.

Probably best to check with Pegasus direct though.

I used to book flights for my bosses children who travelled from Boarding Schools in UK to Germany (civilians not military) and they had to have someone take them to the airport, hand them over, then be collected at the other end. All these children were under 15 but once the eldest becamse 16 he was eligible to bring the others over himself. Hope this helps. Might vary airline to airline so best to check.

now checked with pegasus again and it seems that under 12 they are clessed as minors and will need paperwork but over 12 they are allowed to travel alone.
