On Friday evening I was honoured to be asked to attend the children4children concert held at the Ataturk culture centre in Lefkosa.

The event was organised by East Mediterranean University (DAU) and sponsored by TurkCell.



It was lovely to see so many children performing pieces of classical music that they had learnt on their chosen instrument to a very appreciative audience, the hall was half full and I know that they had unfortunately not marketed the event very well to the expat community.



It cost just 20YTL and all monies going to the SOS childrens hospice hence the children4children slogan.



I am sure a lot of readers will be dissapointed in not knowing about this event.



I have now made it my duty to inform the expats of this event and other cultural activities in the capital that ufortunately you are not aware of due to small publicity campaigns.



I will for certain events depending on numbers arrange transport from Girne for you.



You are only 20 minutes away from some of the best concerts, exhibitions and cultural events.



Don't forget about the3 capital.
