Just announced that West Ham have sacked Gianfranco Zola as their manager.

Front runner to replace him is Avraam Grant.

Nice fella Zola but you cant play Spector left back all season and expect to stay in a job, i quite fancy Bilic for this, he would win more than 1 away game in a season !

The stats speak for themselves 8 wins, 19 defeats, 35 points

1.Zola didn't help matters any by expressing his admiration for East End hate figure Fat Frank and choosing to watch Chelsea's game with Arsenal in February. He should have watched Birmingham and Wolves who were playing at St Andrews that same Sunday afternoon for their forthcoming encounter.

2.Luis Jimenez, stating that he was the type of player he wanted to build a team around.

3. Overlooking Fabio Daprela in the left back berth in favour of Spector, surely the other way round.

4.Sticking with Mark Noble, Jack Collison and Alessandro Diamanti on the wings when none of them were suited to the role

5. Failing to settle his back 4 by benching them as a punishment.

What about Mark Hughes? And if he could bring a couple of Man City rejects (or fellas who don't like training too much) with him (Stephen Ireland/Craig Bellamy/Carlos Tevez) he would have the makings of a decent team!
