Nope, not getting them, Why would anyone send spam CV? It's very odd, sounds like someone has harvested your email address and is using it to spray this rubbish out.

BTW, I think the plural of Curriculum Vitae is Curriculum Vitae like sheep is the singular and the plural, so no need for the 's

Thanks for that Groucho, just an answer would have been enough but if it made you feel good to correct my grammar then that's fine, what is wrong with some of you people.

Hattikins,

It was just an observation, no need to get upset. I thought folk might be interested to know, obviously not...

The question remains, why spam CV?

Recieved some as well, just delete, you do not know what they are, maybe just called cv to try to get you to look at them.

Spam, spam , spam, spam - Spam, spam , spam, spam, Spam - lovely Spam was coined by Monty Python's Flying Circus and used to identify a torrent of something you didn't want... like Internet Spam.

We've got Spam Egg Sausage and Spam, that's not got much Spam in it...

Corned beef ones are good too... haven't had 'em since I was a lad, can't convince the family to try them... I tried corned beef hash on them... you should have seen the looks I got! It was lovely too... some people.

If you can get Heinz Corned Beef try the fritters with that, lovely, especially if you thinly slice some onion with it then coat it in crispy batter, not too good for the figure but once in a while won't hurt.

I heard on the radio recently that, because of the recession, people are reverting to eating the like of Spam, corned beef and fish paste.

Oh Jeannie, that takes me back a bit !

For Keith and Grouch, give this a try, I'm sure you will persuade the family it's tasty, very tasty

Ingredients

225g/8oz Corned Beef, cut into slices 1cm/½ inch thick

50g/2oz Plain Flour

1 Egg, beaten

2 tbsp Milk

Salt and Pepper

Oil for frying

Instructions

1. Heat the oil until hot.

2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, egg, milk and seasoning and beat to form a smooth batter.

3. Dip the slices of corned beef into the batter and fry on both sides until crisp.

4. To serve - drain on kitchen paper and serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables of your choice.

Sounds great - I love corned beef hash. The only thing I would do differently is to use duck or goose fat for frying it in. Great for my cholesterol

There was a receipe for corned beed fritters on the One Show tonight. The chef blended the corned beef with potato and herbs. Fried, then served with fried egg on the top.

Oh and yes I've been getting the spam CV's. They have an attachment which probably has some sort of virus/trojan therein. I simply delete them without opening.

Can we change the thread title to 'Anyone getting hungry?' because I certainly am...

Now I've got severe Corned-Beef Withdrawal symptoms.... and I didn't even know I had it!
