| As an admirer of history, I was very keen to re-visit the Sanctuary of Pigadhes near Camlibel village and to my surprise it was in a very bad state. The sign was down, the gates were broken and the whole area was full of weeds. It is a shame that such a historical place has been left to the nature and not being bothered about. I wish the archaeological department would do something quick before it totally gets destroyed and lost. Hopefully next time when we admirers of history visit again, it will be clean and well preserved! And anyone visiting North Cyprus, especially the ones who are interested in history, please make it a point to visit Sanctuary of Pigadhes. Have a great holiday in North Cyprus... |

| The Sanctuary of Pigadhes is located on the road between Camlibel and Nicosia. It is almost lost as the sign is down. The last time i picked it up and made it stand up against the tree where the road turns into to get to the sanctuary. So if you are coming from Nicosia, you have to turn left at the sign and there you have the sanctuary surrounded by cypress trees. |
