Nature Bay Village or Beach Villas?

Village is coming on a treat.

Beach Villas hasn't actually started. Last information is that they sold 1 on Beach Villas and that has now come back onto the market, so all 10 are up for sale still.

Anyone have any info on what happened to the beach villa development? Has the development been shelved? Has the developer run into problems along with most of the others?

Hi Aussie,

I too would like to know when the shopping centre is going to be built. Last October I noticed a sign for the build of 21 shops close to the golf course. This April the sign had disappeared. There was a small row of four shops, built on the opposite side of the road to the Antique bar and restaurant. These were finished last year but they are still empty. Anyone know if anyone is going to take them? I would also like to know when a dolmus service is going to start to run down the coast road. Half the dolmus from Girne to Lapta run empty, so why don't they run in the opposite direction for passengers? I have to hire a car for 3-4 weeks at a time, when I visit and over half of this time it just sits on the drive. If there was a dolmus, it would save me a lot of money.

The beach development was take off the market as an investor showed an interest in purchasing it in full, the deal fell through and it's now back on the market, I think a couple of the villas are sold / reserved.

To The Butlers Wife

Hi

The shops opposite Antique I believe based on what I was told by someone who wanted to rent one for over a year are on hold due to a land ownership dispute as some of the site overlaps the neighbouring property. They were close to finished so its a pity.

As for the Dolmus at present the best available at present is the Esentepe service which turns off up the hill at the Esenetepe.

Its current timetable is

leaving Esentepe for Girne 6.45, 9.00, 13.00 15.30 and 17.30

From Girne to Esentepe 7.30, 11.30, 14.30, 16.30 and 18.30

They may add a couple more for summer soon as they did last year but there are no guarantees.

I think there may be a once a day dolmus as far a Bacehili but have never been able to find out when it operates.

A more frequent coats service would be very useful but I think not enough permanent residents/ users are living here year round to make it viable yet. Its a bit of a chicken and egg scenario with users and

From my understanding, The shops are still going ahead but i think they are looking for an investor. There is a really friendly sales person at nature bay he is basic at Catalkoy his name is Jon he has alot of information regarding the beach villas at Alagadi his number is 0533 834 1277 or email jon@naturebay.co.uk . Our friend brought direct off of the developer and got a brilliant deal highly recommend speaking to them direct.
