I voted UBP in the election, as I wanted two different states, but looking at these meetings in Athens and after Erdogan's visit to Ankara last week I now am not so sure that is what he is going to go for - pressure is on him and for the first time ever I think we will have a united island, I never thought I would say that. Turkey is so desperate to gain access to EU (thinks only Greece is the problem, it is several more members who would block it). Erdogan holds all the cards and I think he has something to do with the wrangling going on with DP and UBP over the elections of Mayors only happened since Eroglu came home from Ankara - this was reported in BRT tonight by a newspaper columnist. I am confused.

Outside intervention will be the only way to sort this mess out,

Paul.
