| Trying to find out if anyone knows where and if there is a car hire place at the Lefkosia border, need to leave North car hire at car park, walk through and hire a car to spend 3 days in the south - Paphos - visiting sister...
Any help/contact appreciated.

| Hi Lisa,
There is a car hire company opposite the Altinkaya Hotel who lets you take a hire car to the South, it is next door to the aone car hire company. I think they call it Inter something. The Altinkaya Hotel is on the way up to Ozonkoy.

| Hi, Having recently hired a car from A1 car rentals and enquired about taking the hired car over the border they said it would be no problem and they would give you all the relevant paperwork to do so including relevant insurance.

| If you take a car from north into south you are not given Fully Comp insurance. If you are involved in a major incident you are on you own.
Similar if you break down, you will have to sort it.
If you are prepared to take that gamble you are OK to take the car if company allow it.
Good friend has hire company and refuses 100% to allow their cars into the south for those reasons. |
