Hi, can you please advise, we will be coming to Kyrenia with a 2 week old baby. Will we be able to get disposable nappies and baby formula milk? Also is the tap water (boiled) ok for making up the feeds.

Would you bring a two week old baby?

thanks

Kaz

We have our 10 week old grandson out here at the moment and he is fine, you can get everything here, but use bottled water for sterilizing.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated and Dusterbruce, there are 17 of us so we should take the rows around the baby...Most airlines allow babies to travel from 2 weeks old, we are coming in October so should be cooler. Would you advise bottled water for the formula feeds?

So, Kaz, just to make sure I know what you're saying here.

You are coming in October when the baby in question will be 2 weeks old? So safe to assume that baby will not be born for around another 4/5 months or so?

Perhaps it's me, but is it definite that the baby will be 2 weeks old by then (ceasarean?). It is, of course, entirely up to you, but I would think twice about taking a baby of 2 weeks old away - mind you, I am very old fashiioned and possibly this is not your first child Agree with Lilli about bottled water, no question.

My son is now 30 and we took him abroad when he was 16 months old. We had no problems whatsover but people thought we were 'brave'

Good luck and enjoy your holiday.

check out the makes of bottled water, some of them have a too high sodium content for a baby, that done you will be fine x

message 11 - spot on !!! Also the bottled water should be BOİLED - if to be used to make formula - this I was told by a UK midwife.

Hi Kaz,

Our one and only child was Born in Girne in JULY 1989. We managed to get everything we needed then although it was very expensive at the time. Just take care against the vicious sun at that time of year.

Flew back via Istanbul when baby was 5 weeks old. He did have trouble with being sick but whether this was due to the Flight I don't know.

Wife was strongly encouraged to breast feed baby by Staff at Ergun Clinic. Best advice ever given. Our lad is now a strapping " Oxford Uni " boy.

Enjoy your Holiday.
