Thanks for that. Incredible talent. Not normally supporter of child prodigies as many abused by demanding parents but the sheer joy exuding from the little mite brought a tear to my eyes (and thats after 10 grandchildren) !

Even when he dropped a stick he just carried on as if nothing had happened. No inhibitions at that age,

Paul.

I always thought that drummers had a mental age of about 4 anyway...

By that criterion, he's retarded!

No, really, I was impressed, good luck to him.

Brilliant-at first I felt concerned that the little lad didn't look like he was happy with the whole thing, just going through the motions. Then when his little face lit up with his smiles, grins and laughter, and his actions became more animated, it became very clear he was in his element. Hope he continues to enjoy playing the drums he certainly has talent!

Paul,

I always wondered why we had more drummers per head of population than anywhere else

At least I presume that's why the pubs are full of people drumming their fingers on the bar top, waiting for their BEER

Actually Ringo was/is a fantastic drummer... Not a flash git who wanted to stand out beyond his job. Much maligned and misunderstood. Macca has never worked with better. He will tell you so... So will George Martin.

Re-listen to the old Beatles songs and there is Ringo keeping perfect time, not overwhelming the songs, you can hear all the lyrics!

If you listen to his solo work on Abbey Road you'll get some idea of what he was capable of but never really got the chance to show. He was just happy to be part of the best ever band. Never overstated his ability and never lost the beat.

Yes there were drummers with flashier technique (often called Drummers' Drummers) but they wouldn't have fitted into The Beatles.

Thanks for the link Paul, I knew you were joking...

Cooper,

I bet he gets a lot of 'stick'... Probably frightened out of his 'skin' and suffers from 'tension'... He's definitely been caught in a 'snare', maybe a first-aid 'kit' would help. Personally I wouldn't 'stand' for it.... His 'para-diddle' is only small.... They should 'beat' it out of him in no 'time'. I 'bass' ed this on his his name Being 'Tom-Tom'.

Very good Groucho )

With him learning to play the drums at such a early age it might keep him from getting into any monkey business later in life, but you never know - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnzFRV1LwIo

Three years old, good on the little feller. As long as he is enjoying himself, and not being asked to perform like a performing chimp, then there is no harm done,

Grey.
