Hi all,

I have just heard there is to be a 90 day strike starting on Monday 14 July. I am due to fly out to Ercan on the 16th July. Has anyone heard of this and will it effect the airports? I cannot believe that the whole of the TRNC will come to a grinding halt for 90 days but any information on this subject will be welcome.

I think its false alarm because the unions are not able to make plans for so much in advance!!!

Hi all,

I heard it from a reliable source from someone living in the TRNC. They

are not into scaremongering, just told me to check my flights before I left

Does anyone have telephone number for Pegasus in England?

I shouldn't worry, the unions get more work done when they are on strike than when they are working (if that makes sense) !!

Pegasus don't have a UK number but you can call them on:

0090 212 444 0737 (This is their Call Centre in Istanbul. Normal International Rates apply from the phone that you are calling from)

This is a an automated service (as in press 1 for this, 2 for that) and has an English option too.

I have just spoken to my friend who works in the Kibtek office and he didn't know what I was on about (nothing unusual there!) when I asked about this 90 day strike!

If its only going to be 90 days strike that things dont get done then that leaves 275 days that things will get done. I vote for the strike.
