can you rent a car at 24 years old with a full UK licence?

my son who is due out to our villa later on in the year has told us that he can hire a car although he is only 24 years old and the company concerned have told him so long as he has a full licence age is immaterial. I thought that the minimum age had recently increased to 26 years old????

Hi Nige,

As far as I am aware the age is till 23 years to hire a car. But fot to go to the garage later so will check this for you.

Well its all been booked and the firm he is using will let you rent a car if you are 22!!!! my missus only has a year to wait lol
