It'll cost you more than a pound to take them back.

they seem quite happy to take back faulty goods, especially if you are exchanging it for something else in their shop, but i dont know if they would take back a plant

Is it possible to grow raspberries in the TRNC? In the uk we get a good deal of our raspberries from Scotland and the difference in climate must be huge.

Can't say I'm an expert, may be it's the wrong time of year for them yet???!!!

I bought a strawberry plant from there last week, I don't know how that'll do yet either. In the UK strawberries thrives. The other bushes I got have been fine.

I bought a King Deep Fat Fryer a couple of weeks ago and was really pleased with it. One night I used it and let it get too hot for the chips and it overflowed. When I wiped the oil off it all the writing came off with it. So now the King sign has been wiped off in addition to all the temperatures, instructions etc.

What ever do you expect if you only paid a pound for a deep fat fryer, sounds like a real bargain shop if every thing is a pound!...

HildySmith surely the whole idea of electric deep fat fryers is that they are thermostat controlled and prevent the oil from reaching such temperatures... If it's not faulty, take the chips back!

Nurseawful, I don't think it's just an English thing, I've done the Sunday markets when my container arrived and I had to sell lots of secondhand bits and pieces that wouldn't fit in to my new house. Besides most of the locals that came to me wanted things almost giving to them, some actually brought things back the week after - curtains that didn't fit the window, kettle that worked but the light didn't light up on it anymore, a strimmer that didn't have the right type of plug and they didn't want to go out and buy a converter! etc. etc.

Pippie,

Lighten up it was meant tongue in cheek, most on here know I am Scots and can't resist a wee dig now and then!
