Hi saucyboy 69.

I live in London and have tried in vain to buy this paper, I have tried several newsagents who have ordered it for me but have then been unable to get it. I subscribe to it but it is a week out of date when it arrives. Usually by then all of news has been discussed on the forums. It would be great if you could read it online.

Hi ukturk,

Thanks for this information, I live in Holland Park so a long way from Newington Green but I may take a trip and see if I can find somewhere that sells it and will supply me by post or to my local newsagent. It will depend if I can get it any quicker than I do now.

Hi every body, I am wondering if anyone of you PBV owners can recommend a decent reasonably priced hotel that does half board or B.B. close to the PBV complex. I would very much appreciate it if you could give me its e-mail address and if possible a taxi service that does the Larnaca airport to North Cyprus. Thanks Kamal

i stayed at acapulco last year its about 20 minutes drive to pbv and you can negotiate a good price plus its a fantastic place ,or you could ask carol ann

mercier to see if she can get you a good price as you are going becouse of

pbv.as for larnaca i only fly from ercan .oh you will need a car if you do stay

at acapulco as there are no shops close by.

The hotel runs a bus service into Central Girne.

Regarding newspapers - have they started a website yet for those of us who want the classifieds but can't get the newspaper in the far flung North of England?

I'm wanting to buy a business in the TRNC - a small cafe/ bar but its virtually impossible to find out who deals with these sales... the local estate agents are completely useless.

If anyone can advise how to find something, please contact me. I'd appreciate it. Oh and there'll be free drinks if you can help me out

When was the last time you visited NC? Suggest you do an awful lot of homework before you risk losing your money on a small cafe/bar. Suggest you start a new topic on this forum to see what advice you get (other than DON'T)

Blackpoolrock, the only way really is to be in North Cyprus and just go around asking either in TC coffee shops or word of mouth. It really is an expensive business.

no bradus, its my friend from the village. he lived in the uk, retired to cyprus this year. to the land he purchased(turkish title) and in the 1990's he built a house on it. while he was in the uk they stole his forcourt and access and gave it to the neightbour. its clearly his and has been since 1992. he has been in a battle with the tapu office since april this year. they refuse to give it back. neighbour is trying to extract 50k sterling from him for his own land back. kochan shows it clearly changed/tampered with. he is an old man, and a turkish cypriot. if they can rob their own people what hope do we have?

Getting back to the original thread. I have had Cyprus Today delivered to me in London for the last 7 years. You simply fill out the subscription form in the paper and make the payment. Delivered to my house during the week of it going to print!

well i can confirm that cyprus today is a goverment puppet. i wont be buying it again.on thursday last week my friend got a call from the goverment department and told him they would look into it again. obviously they didn't want a turkish cypriot complaining about their behaviour. but no, he still had his land stolen and as yet unreturned. he has the kochan to prove it. this was a very valid story and cyprus today didn't print it. shame on them!

Did they say why they didn't go with the story? A letter to the editor is another way to get it published.

no gov department phone our friend and told him they would look into it. which they have been doing since april. i will get him to phone them and ask why? thats a great idea. i think because he is tc and the problem is with turkish title land thats why they didn't go there. what worries me is that if they will do it to their own people, what hope do we have?
