Michael Barrymore has said he is no longer gay after beginning a relationship with a woman.

The television presenter reportedly revealed the romance to fellow celebrities while filming for Channel 4's Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

According to the Sun, he told them he had been seeing the woman for several months and was planning a party to celebrate "going back in" the closet.

The presenter, who came out 15 years ago, told former Generation Game host Anthea Redfern: "I'm having a going back in party soon. Would you like to come?"

When she asked what that meant, he replied: "Well, I came out didn't I – but I'm going back in."
