| I give my sincerest apologies to all those who tried to tune in to the GOLDEN OLDIES show on ADA Fm at 1-30pm today. Especially those who wanted to hear my featured artists on the show, THE BEATLES. When I started the show at 1-30 everything in the studio was working correctly (for once). A few minutes later my wife called me and said nothing was coming out over the radio exept white noise (hissing). I did a check aroung the equipment and all was OK in the studio. I came to the conclusion that it was a problem with the main ariel which sends the signal out to peoples homes, cars etc. I rang the (so called) radio station manager and he didn't want to know (no change there then), well not until Monday at the earliest when he is back at work. There was no technical engineer on duty either (who'd have thought...........). At 3pm, after 30 minutes of trying to get the station working I decided to call it a day. Just as I was about to leave my wife called and said the radio was back on air. |

| I decided not to start the show then at 3pm as most listeners who had tuned in to listen to the BEATLES would have switched off. This is the second time in 3 weeks that my show has not gone out because of problems (out of my control) at ADA Fm. Alan Broadhurst's JAZZ show last Tuesday didn't go out and Alan White also had problems at the start of his show on Thursday. So - I will try again next Sunday and play the show which should have gone out today, featuring the BEATLES. Again my apologies for those who tried to tune in. DJ MIKE |
