Anyone growing a successful Mulberry Bush that bears fruit?

If so, when does yours stop fruiting and drop its leaves?

Hi I have a weeping mulberry bush that now has fruit on it, the birds love it & of course make a terrible mess on the patios after eating the berries.

The leaves stay on until the end of the year I think.

We have a weeping Mulberry in full Sunshine which have given increasing amounts of fruit each Season since planted some 5 years ago. We too find that it is evergreen except for the coldest months of Winter. The fruit matures to a dark colour but not all at the same time as some remain light red so best to harvest them regularly as they turn dark in colour. Left too long and the birds might gorge on them or you have a mess below the tree. We are not knowledgeable gardeners but find that they need drenching in water at the base approx 2 times per week in the hot weather and a little water from time to time in the Winter. The most productive months seem to be April and May but of course this may be earllier or later dependant on weather heat patterns and presumably amount of rainfall. We believe they are worth the effort as look nice in the middle of a rockery, for example, to give height, colour, and fruit ! Best of luck.
