I wondered if anyone had done the paragliding from St Hilarian, we are out in August and my son would love to do this. Which is the best beach for water sports??

We did the paragliding thing last year. If you like to do something different it is worth doing although not cheap.

Talk to Angela in the office down at the harbour and she will make you feel safe even before booking.

I was not sure what to expect so it was a bit strange when you set off to run and the next thing you are flying!!

Personal view, after white water rafting on 4/5 grade rapids and bungee jumping off bridge at Victoria Falls thought it was quite tame. But then we are both into daft things like roller coasters too. Happens when you get past 50!!

Book it and enjoy the ride.

Can thoroughly recomend it. Never flown in Cyprus (although I plan too) but a fantastic sport. If you get hooked (and you will) a standard rig is around £1,500. If you do it just the once on a tandem, it will be something you remember for a very long time. Please let me know how you get on.

My son (12) and I did on one of the hottest days in June last year and it was great, lovely and cool in the air but very hot coming down to land which, IMO, was the scariest bit.

Last year it was £50 per person, probably gone up this year. Contact Highline Paragliding 0542 855 5672.

I think a parachute would fly better, unless you are a very big boy!!
