Can anyone recommend a good dentist in the Girne area. Can anyone also advise the cost of a white filling?

I understand they don't do white fillings on the NHS. I'm due to have a white filling next week in the UK and have been quoted £90.

If I can get it done in Girne cheaper I may wait a couple of weeks. I'd definately want a recommendation though for a good dentist in Girne.

We use Dt. Seda Serger.

Come out of Girne centre, law courts and post office on your left. A further 150 yards on right is Eczane and she has surgery above that. There is a sign outside along with the new BMW!!!!

Tel - 815 8899 or 815 0015

e-mail dtseda@hotmail.com

She has all the latest gadgets we were both happy with treatment received.

There are several threads on this topis though, if you type dentist into search field and you will find more.

Kav,

As an idea of cost. I broke a tooth laterally. She extracted the loose half and was able to cap what remained.

An excellent job carried out over 3 sessions, cost 300ytl about £100.

No1 Doyen. Just to add to the many good comments of Seda Serger. I am currently having treatment from her. She is the best I have ever been too. I have one more visit next week and then I get the bill. I hope I dont get a heart attack! I couldn't cope with a hospital bill as well!

Hi No1 Doyen (and anybody else who is interested!)

Well you wanted to know how I got on. I hope you are not having breakfast! All together I had root canal work on two teeth. This involved various medication put into the teeth, temporary fillings (twice for one tooth). Three visits altogether totalling about 1 and three quarter hours. Total cost was 480 lira. However she said 400 lira was ok. Perhaps I had a 'discount for bulk'! More likely, first timers discount.

I have no idea if that is expensive as all previous dental work I had was NHS. In any event she was brilliant, bearing in mind I am a coward, of course!

Oh, nearly forgot. Remember to take the shoe coverings off before you walk outside. They were blue this time but last time I went I walked outside and they were pink which was a source of amusement for the locals!

Regards

Hi Chessman - glad to hear all went well.

I'm not sure as to the costs. 400ytl = £173! Can anyone advise if this is cheap/expensive?

I went to the dentist yesterday as my bridge cracked. The cost to replace, over £1000 ! I'm not in pain, its a cosmetic thing, but really not noticeable. My dentist took of the was rough edges. Thankfully she took exrays and everything else if ok so its just the matter of the bridge. So yes, if anyone wants to give me a birthday present and has £1000+ I will pass you on my bank account details or may address for paper money !!!

No I live in London and have a very nice dentist but I still cannot afford it. A friend is going to Poland in a couple of weeks time and will enquire for me over there how much it will cost. She says even taking into account the air fares and somewhere to stay it will be a lot cheaper, I hope so anyway.

I use Resime she is a young lovely lady located just past the electric sub station in Girne on the left, there is a sign with a big tooth outside her surgery. She uses a needleless injection which uses air to deliver the pain relief. Cost for a filling 100ytl.
