Just Back from Nicosia. If anyone is going to Larnaca Airport, i advise them to use the Pile border as their is a big fire at The China Bazaar branch in Nicosia and the Roads are Unpassable.

ha, just got the news.. the "plastic bazaar" is burning... a result of shopping centers without proper fire fighting systems.. what a shame..

I've just seen some footage of the firefighters trying to put out the blaze wearing no protective jackets only short-sleeve t-shirts!!!!!

gooligan, i really don't think Henrik was laughing, it was simply an expression..'ha'! Eureka.....it's a common word here for expressing understanding.

thanks daisy! but I think its not realy hard to understand when I read my text again.. its not a "ha ha" its a "ha," like, "I got it", from turkish cypriot, and even at the end I wrote, "what a shame" ... so there is nothing funny about. I for myself had the experience to face 3 major fires (not the yearly small ones) in TRNC, I was captured in my house at my own in the year 1995.. just to fight the flames with buckets of water. I know what it means to fight fire..

anyone having liks to pictures?

Apparently its due to the huge Telsim antenna on the roof which sent an electrical charge down to the basement and that caused the fire but because the Telsim antenna were put up after they had insured the place so they are not able to claim. So i have been told, the story could change by next week, don't think any one was hurt.
