Has anyone taken the bus from Larnaca Airport and walked through the Ledra crossing with cases. ? Wondered if cases would be searched.

Hi all,

Like john1234 says it is easy peasy and very cheap for copules or singletons. Families may find a large taxi competitively priced.

The bus (Green service) drops you at Solimis Square inside the walls of the old city. It is just opposite the HOLIDAY INN. A short walk through Ledra Palace or Ledra Street and you are there.

In many times of crossing over, I have never been searched. The GC police used to do it when you went back South, but this was for contraband such as Efes or Turkish wines or coffee. Since the EU came along you are entitled to carry back a small amount of goods, so this practice has almost died out.

Enjoy,

DD
