Just been speaking to a Lebanese businessman who absolutely loves the TRNC.

We chatted and my wife told him that she hates having to go through the rigmarole of getting a visa for Southern Cyprus as the Consul here is very diehard and calls the TRNC 'Occupied Territories' and relates it to the Shebab Farms in Lebanon that are occupied by Israel and every time puts another goalpost in front of my wifes application. Now thanks to friends in the South we have no more problems but its the atmosphere in the Consulate here in Beirut when he is around.

This businessman says he always comes by ferry from Tripoli via Latskia in Syria, its half the cost of flying and takes only 4 hours, so there you are another country is breaking the embargo- hopefully more will follow in their own small ways.

Shame haha as I have already booked my flights!!
