Hi Lee - good to meet you too. We had a great night last night singing away with you to all those fab songs - especially those from the 60's. As you said, it wasn't a big turn out but it was enjoyed by everyone with most joining in with your sing-a-longs.

The band you mention are a different band the one I am thinking of. You are thinking of the band 'The Playthings' who are a completely different style of band to the one's that I spoke about - 'The Playmates'.

The Playmates started out in the early 1950's as a comedy group in Canada called 'The Nitwits'. They changed their name in the late 1950's to 'The Playmates' and recorded a few rock 'n' roll songs, notably - 'What Is Love' - and a comedy number called 'Beep Beep (The Little Nash Rambler) which was often referred to as the 'Bubble Car Song'.

Hope that info satifies your query. Give us a call on 0533 830 5374 and we'll meet up sometime.

DJ MIKE

Yes Mike, sorry, I was getting mixed up . You have an excellent knowledge of music, in fact quite a few of you there seemed well clued up.

Thank You Mike and keep up the great work on the radio.
