There is also an event tonight, from 7.30 on, at Alsancak Primary School. The event includes performances by the school orchestra and the dancing group.

As far as the Alsancak Primary School is concerned the education level is high, the teachers are very committed, they teach in the local language Turkish and English is taught as a foreign language, so some basic knowledge of Turkish could be an advantage for any "foreign" child.

If you have time tonight and tomorrow evening you can come and get your own impression of the school. The event tonight is the pupils's end of the term-party and tomorrow there will be - amongst other things to be seen - an exhibition of handicrafts made by the children

A lot of English children attend turkish schools they soon get the grip of the language trust me l know.

As for teaching in both languages they do English lessons yes but think about it really did your local school back in England teach in both English and for example Polish, kurdish or any other seekers which have decided to settle there!!!!!
